Yuri Andreevich Vladimirov (born August 18, 1932, Yamashevo, Kanashsky district, Chuvash ASSR, RSFSR, USSR) — Soviet and Russian biologist, doctor of biological sciences (1968), professor, academician of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (1988, since 1992 — RAMS, since 2013 — Russian Academy of Sciences).

Graduated from Moscow State University (1954; Faculty of Biology and Soil), postgraduate studies there (1957).

Professor of the Department of Biophysics, 2nd Moscow Medical Institute. N. I. Pirogova (since 1966), head of the Department of Medical Biophysics, Faculty of Fundamental Medicine, Moscow State University (since 1994). Works in the field of protein luminescence, aromatic amino acids and the mechanism of photochemical processes in protein systems.
